Sheetmetal intakes - runners extending into plenum?
Sheetmetal intakes - runners extending into plenum? In order to achieve an overall lower height profile (assuming everything is setup and built correctly) is there any disadvantage to having the runners extend right up into the plenum in orde to get 7'' length (as opposed to the runners being 7'' length but stopping at the bottom of the plenum and not going right up into it)?

Worse top-range/mid/bottom power? Not an issue?

So there's no give and take? I would have thought having them extend past the floor would have caused some issues (e.g., worse downlow), otherwise wouldn't most people have the runners this way in order to cut down on height?
