pcv ques....
did a search, came up empty.... would it make sense to just run an inline filter of some type or add a pcv valve to the TB line instead of using a catch can? what could happen?? 2005 ls2 GTO

If its in front of the TB blade its for fresh air to enter the motor to breath. You can delete it and add a breather on the valve covers. The catch can should go on the PCV line. its the line that is behind the blade its under vacuum. The pcv is the line that will suck oil into the intake.

yeah, i know i was just trying to eliminate the oil in the intake issue w/o getting a catch can ($$).... and was thinking maybe an inline air or fuel filter could work.... wasn't sure if it could hold the vacuum tho....

I think thats a bad idea. The PCV gets rid of alot of junk vapors and gases that an oil change won't. Run the breather for the fresh air and for the motor to vent. An Ls6 type pcv and a small air compressor filter / dryer works well to control oil useage.
