Oil pressure
Oil pressure Sooooo I've got an 02' LS1 Camaro that's giving me some attitude. Right at the very end of last summer I noticed that I was having intermittent problems with my oil pressure. Most days my pressure read perfect, but on occasion, once warm, my oil pressure gauge was "quivering" all over the place. The quiver would occur with each compression. I only experienced this for a very short while as winter came almost immediately. I did not have one single issue with this all winter. However, now that it's warmed up again, I've had this problem on and off for the last month or two. It's still intermittant, it's always after reaching opperating temps, and it happens regardless of oil weight....
I'm assuming either the OPSU or the pump, but I'm looking for a little help before taking a shot in the dark.

I had a 2000 Vette LS1 that had a crushed wire near the sender unit, behind the intake.
That caused the gauge to read strange numbers.
Good advice from Improved: check it with a mechanical gauge.
