Default L92 heads on LQ9

I am going to be replacing my 243's with some L92's. I have a 408 with a fast 90/90 intake what will I need to make this happen? I would try searching but I am limited at work with what time I have. Thank you guys Poncho

Well you're going to need to get rid of your intake manifold and either get the L76 or a FAST 102 that is made for rectangular port heads.

You'll probably want to get a cam that works better with the square port heads as well.

Intake, rocker arms, fuel injector adaptors depending on what intake you run. The rails may work with spacers depending again if your already running after market ones. The valve covers will have to be modified on the inside to fit the rockers. That should do it. i would check PTVC , not knowing what the pistons look like.

I have 8cc pistons and I will be using the MS4 cam. If I go with the fast 102 will I need fuel rails and injector adapters?

You will need:

8 each L92 Intake Rockers
2 each L92 Rocker Arm Pedestals
L92 Heads.

Your intake will not work with L92 heads. You will need intake for rectangular heads, LS3/L76. Also, the L92 will work good with certain camshafts. I got custom cam from PG.

IMHO, you would be better off with LS1 heads like PRC from Texas Speed or Trickflows to work with your MS4 and FAST Intake and call it a day.

The only reason I went with L92 heads in my truck is to upgrade to L92 intake because I can't use car intake without major work. The L92 intake is choking the engine and I can't run the new FAST trucks intake because it is made for LS1 style heads and will not fit L92 heads.

They have the truck style 102 out for the Rect. port heads .

Not sure what rails are you running now? Like posted above it would be better to just run some good cath. ports and call it a day.

It kind of sounds like the cath. is where I may stay. I was just pricing all of this stuff out and it's gonna be a lot more than I had expected.

Where? You got a link to it? You mean L92 intake?

I know about FAST 102 for Cath heads but I can't use it. I will need to swap back to LS1 style heads which is no no for me.

cathedral would be your cheapest route if you already have a cam picked out and already got an intake manifold in hand. a nice ported and polished cathedral head will do just as well as an l92 head on your setup

I have never seen anything posted for L92s and truck intakes. Ive seen some people speculating on forums, but never any real information released.
