Default LY6 Valley cover question

I have a 08 LY6 6.0 (Essentially an LQ4 with L92 heads). I was under the impression that all GEN 4 motors made after 2006 had the LS6 style valley cover? Mine has a flat valley cover with no venting provisions. I am converting this motor over to carb with an edelbrock vic jr. I have a fitting on the front of the pass side valve cover and a fitting on the back of the drivers side valve cover, but nothing on the valley cover.

My options are A-switching to an LS6 valley cover, B-using my existing valve covers and running them to a catch can, and than back to the intake, or C- run aftermarket valve covers with a breather in one and a fitting in the other running a catch can than to the intake.

Is it possible to simply run an inline filter (like one on a air compressor, a small inline clear one) instead of a catch can? The capacity would not be as large, but it would work in theory? Any insite is appreciated. Thanks, Eric L

I ended up running some Ebay valve covers with a open element breather on the pass side, and an 8AN fitting on the drivers side running to a breather tank. That way I can monitor how much oil/water im accumalating. And I can switch it around and try differant combonations of breathers side to side. I just left the stock LY6 valley cover in place. Eric L

What is the LS6 PCV set-up?
How is it plumbed?
I had an LS1 now I have a LS3.
Trying to figure out how to plumb it.
Wanting to run breathers on the valve covers,
And not wanting to plumb back to the intake.
