Default ARP Head BOLTS question.

I'm installing arp head bolts onto my LS2 402 stroker motor. Looking at the directions, they say to torque down each bolt according to the GM's listings. Anyone have more insight with this? I know that GM is all TTY with head bolts, that is the part thats throwing me off. Any help would be great!!

Do not use the GM torque spec for ARP bolts. Use the GM torque sequence, but they have their own specific torque specs and make sure to use the ARP moly lube on the threads and bottom of the bolt heads.

Default Torque

I just changed mine on my LS2 and the instructions said use GM sequence with 3 steps to end up with 75FT.LBS, 25 on the smaller short bolts. There should be instructions in the package along with their bolt lube. Bill

... see attached

Torque the larger bolts 1 - 10 in 3 steps 25ftlbs, 50ftlbs, 75ftlbs ... then torque the smaller bolts 11 - 15 to 25ftlbs. Remember this only applies to the ARP bolts used with their thread lube applied as described in a post above.

... good luck.
