Wrong lifters, now what??
Then I put a head gasket down and put a head on with just a few studs in around #1 cylinder untorqued just to keep the head from moving around. The head had checking springs in #1. Intake side I got 7.35, exhaust I got a clearance of about .019" at the tip with keeping the adjustable pushrod the same length as the intake side. Made sure I was on the base circle too. This seems to be in line with what other guys are getting due to the difference in height in the valves.
I called Comp and they told me my lifters should have .043 +/- .010 for preload. So with my head gasket compressed and what comp tells me, what should I use for a pushrod length?? Im leaning toward a 7.4 all around. What do you guys think?
