Default header question

I have a bone stock 99 Camaro SS that I just bought. I plan to put a 427, 440 or 454 motor in it that will make 6-700 hp. What size header do I need to run? A 2" primary? 3.5" collector? I plan to build the rest of the car to handle the power the motor will produce first, but exhaust is something that I don't want to do twice. Do certain cylinder heads require a certain header flange as well? This was the case when I built the 406 for my 67 Camaro. I had to find a header tube that was large enough for the power that accommodated the raised d exhaust port on my AFR heads.

Most people run 1-7/8 primaries and 3" collector to either 3" duals or a 4" single.

All Gen III and Gen IV heads have the same bolt pattern for the header flanges...so anything from a LS1/2/3/4/6/7/9 or any truck motor (minus diesel).

2" primaries would be a good idea with that many cubes. Depending on the heads you use will determine the header flange. If you go with LS7 heads you would need the D shaped port flange.
