help with casting numbers and head id Hello, and thanks for all this great info I have found on this sight, there is alot of very informed people here and it has helped me alot,,, now I need somemore help,,,,,
I just bought a ls motor that looks like new, I know its a truck motor,,, but cant find any info on what it is,,, I only have about 500 bucks into it,,, but still want to know if I made the right choice buying it..
it's a 6.0 iron block, has a plug on it for a block warmer! rear of block casting numbers show 257518 on rear pass side of block.
heads have a 0821 number casted on pass side, below valve cover,,,
motor looks like new,, I have not pulled the covers or tore into it yet...
I think these heads are L98/LS-3 heads????
what the hell do I have, and is it a good one,,, it looks like brand new,,, oil on dipstick is clean like new!!!!
did I do ok on this???,, thinking bout putting it in my Nova after some mods.
