06 GTO cam sensor vs LS1

06 GTO cam sensor vs LS1 Can someone help me out with a little cam sensor info. Im controlling an 06 ls2 GTO engine with a Holley Dominator and having an issue. The harness they tell you to use is for a ls1 24x reluctor wheel engine. The engine will only crank if I unplug the cam sensor and turn it off in the computer settings. I did extended the cam sensor myself with basic radio shack multistrand wire. Soo, is there any difference in a ls1 cam sensor and ls2 cam sensor?
I used a LS2 harness on my 24x crank with ls2 front cover cam. No issues.
I did have a bad cam sensor that caused all kinds of problems before I figured it out. I ran mine in bach fire this year untill I got time to get back to cam sensor issue.
What I would do is order the correct pins and some wire from EFI connection and splice them and solder the connections and heatshrink.
Another thing to look at is the ls2 cam sensor is 5v and I belive the ls1 is 12v. Don't know if this is a issue but maybe and might have killed your sensor.
