Help! shortlock replaced. wont start.
Help! shortlock replaced. wont start. swapped to an aftermarket shortblock after the stock motor broke a piston.
now it sptters and puts but will not start.
its an 07 GMC denalli
has a supercharger on it as well.
-new shortblock is same specs as old, just forged.
-all grounds checked that i can think of
-double checked timing
-checked the reluctor wheel
-replaced plugs
-aftermarket starter turns 145 plus rpm while cranking
-gets fuel to the rails and the plugs smelled of fuel as well.
-gets spark
-gets air
-no blown fuses have been found yet?
-replaced cam sensor
-get an rpm reading from the crank sensor
-truck ran when it came it.. just a little noisy from the chipped piston.
any ideas guys? im running out of things to check..
im going to try and scan the ecu tomorow and see if it's somehow messed up..

HOW did you check the reluctor wheel??? I had an issue with my stroker when done, tried having a look at it with light and mirror, looked good, had to have a shop with a borescope camera and found it was bent.
