Default Lq4 cams

Im putting a 02 lq4 into my 71 camaro . Need to find a cam shaft that will make good power . Any one out there have any ideas for me ?

just put in a tsp 228r cam today..love it.

What's been done to it? How heavy? Gears? Trans? What are you doing with the car?

Ive got one for sale that I would let go cheap. I can get the #s for you if you're interested, but it's very similar to the GM hot cam. wasn't enough for what I wanted with my lq4 so I went bigger.

I'm wanting to make the car more into a protouring build . I want to make good driveable power nothing to crazy .

07 vortec 6000(all aluminum 9.5:1 CR) untouched heads
1 3/4 4 to 1. 3" collector
dual 3" to 4" y pipe
ls3 intake/injectors
T56 6spd
tuned on 93

Very nice numbers, are you happy with your cam choice? I'm looking at something right around a 226/230 for my stock headed lq4 with bolt-ons.

I was actaully surprised on what it put down. I built the car to drift/road race so its more than enough power. If i were to up the compression/valve job I would like to go bigger.

im going to run stock heads, go with an ls 2 or 3 intake , stock manifold and a built 4ls65e tranny . I may boost its later down the road but not to sure yet . awesome looking car you got there by the way .

Torque converter will play big role to depending what cam you end up going with so make sure they will work togeather, how high stall are you thinking u will want to run?
