Question DOD Delete Question.

Will any valley cover work when doing a DOD delete? If so, then why is the ls2 or ls3 cover preferred?

Yes. And it's smooth on top, lacking the oil passages in the casting.

Thanks, for the reply. Do you know why the ls2 or ls3 are preferred?

Edit: I am doing this for a buddy of mine. He has a 2009 Sierra.

Again: "And it's smooth on top, lacking the oil passages in the casting." That is the reason for using it. You will also need to either tap & plug the towers or use o-rings to seal them.
