kooks header fitment?

kooks header fitment? i have a 2000 z28 with tubular k member and powerglide tranny, was looking at getting the kooks 17/8 to 2in stepped kooks long tubes or the kooks with the 2in primary my quesion is hows the fitment on theses headers ive herd they dont fit very good. and witch one would be better for a all out race motor going on a lq4 408 with l92 heads
