Default Ls3 gmpp crate with cats?

Hey guys, just installed a ls3 430hp in my 67 nova with full church boys 3 inch exhaust and ss headers. I could not use the full exhaust (tail pipes because the car has 4 link and no room to get over it) and its a little loud for my taste. I am sure it would be fine if could have used the tail pipes. Would high flow cats make a difference in the sound? What about hp/ Tq ? I would really like the crackling or popping sound to go away as well. Dang ls3 is a blast! Thanks

the cats would help quiet the car don by a good bit whether its enough for your taste is a matter of opinion. the cats should only kill about 5hp and thats a maybe just make sure to get a goo brand of hi flo cats like magnaflow...

I had random technologies cats and a small dirt track type silencer and it was LOUD maybe a bullet muffler with the cats would be quiter. Sounds like a wicked combo that thing should rock
