24x or 58x relutor?

Default 24x or 58x relutor?

I am putting together a LSX 427 and plan on using DBW which wheel do i need and i dont have the management system yet starting from scratch i may do a GM pcm or aftermarket depending on how my budget looks at the time? I cant seem to find the solid answer searching but most say a 58X but that could that be they have that system?

There were vehicles with DBW throttle bodies that had 24X as well as a lot that have 58X, so from a PCM/management standpoint, you could do either. Aside from parts availability if you're looking at used, salvage, or other second hand parts I have not seen any empirical data that shows one is any "better" than the other.

I would go 58x the reluctor is a better piece. Will handle the rpm better than a 24x

So either will work but i would have more of a chance to find parts for the 58X is that right? More than likely i will be running a fast or big stuff system when funds permit!

Better piece I could almost agree with, being it is a single wheel with no need to have them welded together to ensure they do not split. Handle RPM's better, I could argue either way.

Yes and no...the 24X stuff was made for about 10 years, whereas the 58x stuff has only been around for about 5 or so. But, a lot of the 24X stuff ahs been wrecked, destroyed, etc. The 58X stuff on average is likely in a bit better condition.

late model engines have a billet 24 tooth wheel that they can put on your crank for you .Call them and Brian can explain the process i just had them put one on my crank.
