Plumbing my LS7 ARE dry sump tank right now
http://www.drysump.com/LS7%20Install...structions.htm
I'm wondering if the line from the top of the tank to the catch can (1<->14 in the above picture) is needed? Instead, can i just run a -10 hose to the ground, install an inline 10micron filter (to prevent bugs or anything from getting up into it) and call it a day?
On the one hand it's probably illegal (I don't care, lol, I'm running out of room)but I'm moreover wondering if the catch can does something with pressure. I doubt it since it's just a can with baffles, a drain, and a filter on it, but figured I would get others' opinions.
