Stailess Rockers I have been seeing a lot of these around for the LS3 and I'm not sure what the advantage of them would be?
Why all the sudden is stainless showing up and are they better than Alum.??
They are making them from 17-4PH Stainless and that worries me because if you don't heat treat it after machining you don't get the desired tensile strength.
From what I know it's a softer stainless so it can be machined easier.
Any opinions?

steel rockers like the pro magnums from comp are far stronger than aluminum, and they actually make them lighter at the tip. i ran them for years on my old style sbc spinning it to 7500 pretty much every time i drove it (over 15k a year) and never had a valvetrain issue.
