Default Porting questions

Im debating on porting my stock heads intake and throttle body on my 2002 Z28 is it worth the work and time? any info on gains from this? thanks in advance..

i hear alot of guys porting and polishing the heads intake and tb. im not sure of exact number gains per item but it does help. lot of people talk about it here they say doing the tb is very easy. once again not sure of exact number gains per item but it does help.
i think i will be looking into porting my tb here soon.

this might help with the throttle body ive not tried this yet but it might help.

Be very careful when porting/polishing heads. You can get carried away and ruin a good set of heads. I just clean mine up and do not go hog wild!

Yep.

Just grind the casting flash out of the runners and smooth them out. Polish them slick and let it go at that, DO NOT attempt to gasket match them like they used to do with SBC heads. It changes the port shape and slows the air going into the cylinder way too much.
