Default LS3 -Coolant Temp Sensor heads in 4thgen Camaro

What sensor do I need to operate my guages and fans?
I am really close to having the car done and this is one of the last things to do!
I appreciate any help, I got the M12x1.50 and it was a 2 wire, the other parts store had the 3 wire sensor but it was way to large.

I used the stock sending unit for the year of the car.

The 98 f body used a 3 wire sender. It had seperate senders built in for the gauge and ecu.
Later models used a 2 wire sender for the ecu. And the gauge was run from the ecu rather than directly from the sender. Fans operate off the ecu sensing temp.

Are you sure the 3 wire was the correct one? My 3 wire went right into my ls3 heads.
