Default Billet Specialties modular valve covers crankcase vent

I am planning to install a set of Billet Specialties LS modular valve covers on a customer's LS376, but I'm not sure about the crankcase vent. There is a port in the front of the cover where you can install a fitting for the crankcase vent tube, but there is absolutely no baffel over this port and it is low, right above the head. I'm concerned that oil will easily slosh into this port and flow through the tube into the air intake. Has anyone used these valve covers or delt with this problem before? The instructions don't say anything about crankcase venting and I really don't want to have to run a catch can.
TIA.

Not cheap, but they do look very nice.

Hoping someone with experience with these will answer the actual question.

At the price of those covers, you may never find anyone with experience in dealing with them. You're probably buying the first set ever sold.

You should call them and explain about no-baffles and there should be 2 vents.

For that price, they should instal themselves.

I just welded a -12 under the plastic baffle in my valley cover, then drilled some extra holes in the baffle. Wouldnt work with a plastic intake though. (Hi-Ram)

you can save some money and go with Nasty Nates valvecovers or Katech. Or just weld -10's in the stockers. cap off the VC and Tb and stubs.

They are similar, but not exactly the same. https://www.google.com/search?rlz=1T...OuS1ygG154CQAw
I read Abear went out of business. Maybe because no one could afford their valve covers.

Here they are on the engine. I think they are pretty sporty albeit expensive.

Beautiful valve covers!
I'd call up Billet Specialties and see if they have a viable solution to a issue that shouldn't exist; especially on a set of their high-end valve covers.
IMO, that port should be up top or at least baffled.

They were $400 less than what you paid... I guess they actually weren't charging enough.

The Abear valve covers could also be ordered with fuel rail/coil wiring covers.

Default Billet Specialties modular valve cover crankcase vent question

Hello, curious what you ended up doing? I have a set of these on my LS3 525hp in a 68 Camaro.. also running a holley intake single port.. I've added a catch can but its filling up quickly.. thinking about adding a second catch can hooked up to the passenger side valve cover..

Any comments will be appreciated..

Thanks,
Rob
