Default 90mm vs. 92mm TB
I am curious if there is a difference between a 90mm and 92mm TB on a stock ls3 intake??? It seems to me that there are more 92mm cable TB's out there.

On a stock engine, there is about 0.1hp difference.

On a h/c engine, there is about 0.7hp difference.

okay so heres the dirty on my future build... junkyard lq4... .030 over maybe more if the block can handle it. wiseco pistons. compstar rods. stock crank. with ls3 heads and intake with a 22x/23x 114 or 115lsa cam. longtube headers.... im only asking this because 92mm throttle bodies seem alot easier and cheaper to find

Lmao... Well that was a simple answer.

Ill just go with either, there really isnt too much difference HP wise IMO. If you can find a 92mm then go for it, any little HP is worth it.

How would a ported 90mm LS3 throttle body compare to a 92mm throttle body.

It's good for a few HP, Torque, and better throttle response by porting. I'm not sure what the differences would be vs a 92mm, but then again you can port that 92mm for better throttle response lol
