Are 317's good heads?
Are 317's good heads? I have a chance to pick up a LQ9 with 317 heads cheap.
I'm wondering if the 317's are good heads. I haven't seen much in the way of flow numbers, which I know can lie. So I'm wondering if I get these if they are worth porting or should I save my time and money and get some AFR or Trick heads.
My goal is to build a supercharged motor looking for 1000+ rwhp.

They're pretty good heads, similar to 243/799 castings but with a larger combustion chamber. They should work really well for your combo since you could use lower compression to your advantage.
