LS3 in my 67 vette
While I'm back I bought a 67 convertible corvette original 327/300hp 4 speed
I'm thinking about the LS3 376/525 with a tremec 5 speed and I have some wiring questions,I plan on buying the gm controller package with pedal and
All,other than plugging things together what do I need to actually wire?
Example. Constant 12 volt,ignition 12 volt,ground,fuel pump etc.
Also the original engine wiring harness, what do I do with the alternator wires
If I go with a one wire ribbed pulley modern alternator?
Do I use the original wires to hook up the LS starter?
How does the original fuse block get powered thru the starter?
Unfortunately I can do most anything BUT automotive wiring.
Thanks in advance
Dave
The harness supplied by gm performance don't take care of voltage to coils?
Thought it had built in relays?
Fuel pump don't wire to there fuel pump lead?
I would like to do it myself,I find myself more meticulous than most and would
Like to say at the end "I did it myself"
Dave
-full time 12V
-Keyed 12V (this needs to be hot during cranking too
-fan control(s)
-fuel pump control
Not sure if the GM harness has relays, but they're needed for fans and fuel pump
This link should help if you want to mod your own harness.
