Default Turbo Ls1 question

so not long ago I was considering building my engine and go all motor but I've recently had to spend a good portion of my money I had put up for something else so gotta go real cheap now. so my questions is. I have a bone stock 98 trans am ls1 with 6 speed. I was thinking going with a turbo and want to build it right and durable but also for fairly cheap. any way u guys can help me out to do that? I herd about some cxr racing turbos for a $1000 that don't do too bad on a stock ls1 but also herd many bad things about them as well. I'm not trying to push too much boost since it's stock I was thinking maybe 6 or so psi should be pretty safe. thank for all comments

You'd be safer with a 100 shot of nitrous and spend a lot less. Plus, to "build it right and durable" it's not going to be cheap. Turbos are fun and all, until you realize your ebay turbo has a boost leak, lol.

Anytime you want to build a turbo kit and you have the price ready, just double it. Because **** never works out that way ESPECIALLY on a turbo build.

Put bottle on it. It'll be fast, fun, cheap and for the most part "durable."

So racetronix fuel pump & hotwire kit, Nitrous Outlet Plate kit, and a tune. Done!
