Default Plug Wire Question

I put a 2008 Pontiac G8 motor in my Datsun 240Z, The stock plug wires on my L76 are burning up on my headers. I was looking at Taylor 10mm wires with 45 degree small boots to get them off my headers. Does anyone have experience with these wires? Is there another brand that will work that is better?

Also is there any difference in the 2008 vs 2009 motors that would cause a part number difference, when I search the 2009 Taylor 10mm wires with 45 degree boots shows not to work with the 2008 motor, very strange as I thought the 2008/2009 Pontiac G8's both ran 6.0 motors with LS3 heads and intakes?

Thanks,
Mike

I prefer MSD and with a bendable boot you can keep them off your headers. Firecore is also a very nice wire but will cost twice what msd will.

firecore50 are double the money for one reason. Quality

Not Chinese junk like msd.

Good boots and the snap on the plug unlike msd.

I have had msd and when to firecore50 will never go back.

Rick will build them with any boot you want.

Not really a big fan of the MSD wires, they crumble when close to heat for an extended lengthe of time. I really had issues with them so I switched to Taylor wires on my first gen sbc and had no more issues.

Ive always run MSD wires in all the vehicles and no issues. But yes firecore50 wires are better quality and sure can take more heat.

My Taylor wires melted but I didn't have angled boots but I have coated headers and put header wrap where I had clearance issues. I've always had problems with burning up wires so I'm trying a set of the Accel porcelain boots.
