Replacing intake\windage tray gaskets - any tips\tricks? I'm replacing all the top-end gaskets on my LS2 this weekend... valve covers, intake, windage tray. I've never had the lid off an LS before.
Anything I need to keep in mind, look out for, be aware of? Any tips or tricks that'll help?

In the absence of any tips or tricks, the intake seals are replaced. What I found scares me though...the intake had a lot of oil in it, and the ports in the heads were discolored with it.
The seals really needed to be replaced for sure. Is all this oil blowby, or a PCV problem? I have a small filter on the PCV line on the pass. valve cover. Its not plumbed to the air inlet like factory.
The valves and stems looked OK, as did the port area around the valves...but the oil was all around the openings where the intake seals.
Getting into the intake needs to be addressed...where do I start?
