Alternator Options? Upgrades

Alternator Options? Upgrades Here's my dilemma:
I'm wanting an AD244 with a regulator that only needs to sense the voltage and can self-regulate with zero PCM input. I have Fbody front end accessories on a LS3 with an E38 PCM by way of 08 vette harness.
I have a 03 AD244 from a KG3 truck, and it doesn't communicate with this PCM, but it can at least self-sustain the minimum 13V, but I'm looking for something that would allow the car to actually charge vs needing a trickle charger all the time.
alternatorparts and nationsstarteralternator are the sorriest p.o.s's to get in touch with. Never will I recommend or even bother with them. Horrible people.
What are your recommendations?

2007 Escalade has a 2 pin connector and is self exciting when nothing is plugged in. You will only get 13.8V though. There are other years that are the same unit.
