Cam position sensor hitting timing chain
Cam position sensor hitting timing chain Made the jump to a Dart block which requires an Ls2 front cover.
I have an ls1 style cam (3 bolt).
So I purchased the early ls2 front cover meant for a 1x setup.
I am not running an oil pump, I have a dry sump setup.
I am using a cloyes double row timing chain, part # 9-3159A
for the cover I am running an edelbrock 4255 2 pc. cover.
I can't see the cover being the issue as I'm sure it is the same as stock as far as sensor location.
Has no one ever tried to run this chain on an LS2? Their website states it will work. What am I doing wrong?

So are you saying the air gap is incorrect, or it is fouling on the outer diameter of camhweel where the teeth are formed ?
ie the sensor hole in the housing is not in the correct location, or the camwheel is not formed correctly ?

Obviously I had to clearance the cover inside though to clear parts of the rotating chain.
