Default Trickflow GenX 255's

Hello all

I currently have a 6lt bottom end sitting awaiting a top end, was looking at std LS3 heads but have been offered some Tfs 255's for only $800 more than std heads. Anyone happen to do some testing on a 6lt? I do have a set for a 410ci I am also building, but as yet untried and have nothing to base an opinion off! any gains over std LS3 heads? All input greatly appreciated

I've got them but haven't been to the dyno yet. Mine had some work by Tony Mamo as well. Here's what I will say. They are 12 degree heads which makes for better PTV. Ports are smaller than LS3 heads but flow way better so more port velocity. Thicker deck for better sealing. Taller rail for a little more room for valve train. Valves are a little heavier but springs are high quality. Intake 113 grams and exhaust 98 grams.

Bottom line, I'd pay $800 more for them in a heartbeat.

If you decide to purchase them and run the factory style rockers, I have a pair of the rocker stands for these heads for sale... I like my set, so I would recommend them as well.

They come with billet rocker stands.

I'd look into BTR version of these... only a few hundred more than the shelf TFS stuff... Tooley sells them with a softened chamber, additional exhaust work, and REV Hollow-Stem intake valves and his spring kit.

They're good for well over 700HP at the crank in a 400+cid motor with the proper mods. So that's over 600rwhp. And that's done with not a lot of cam...

The way the valve is setup, it's essentially an LS7 runner/port. The offset is .350" just like an LS7 valve... and it uses LS7 length valves. So really, all TFS did was make it mate up to LS3 manifolds, but it's a small bore LS7 head for all intents and purposes.
