Hi. Tonight I bought a 5.3 that I was told was an L33 but my research didn't exactly line up with that but I couldn't find what it would be. It is an aluminum block 5.3 with flat top pistons that supposedly came out of a 2012 silverado. I believe it has DOD and VVT but I took a couple pics of the timing cover and valley cover that I think will answer that. All help is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
P.S. I'm probably way off base and those pics don't prove anything but feel free to correct me. First time I've really had an LS to sit and look at out of a car/truck.
