LSA starter clearance and issues.
Ran into a small issue putting my LSA into a different chassis.
I'm from Australia so RHD and the fun times starter clearance/ steering shaft issue that comes with it.
I'm in the process of doing the Crank sensor relocation and I've seen other people do that and grind some of the block to clock their starter snug up to the motor.
Problem is, with the LSA it has this bung in the way also which isn't there on older generation LS's.
Does anyone know what it's for? I've already ground away a bit but don't want to make it unusable.
Attached is a picture for reference of the bung I'm talking about which hit's the top of the starter and prevents it from rotating in any further.
Half way down this page shows how other's have done the same for clearance;

Thanks, Ryan.
