Head swap, have questions
Head swap, have questions Hey everyone, so I bought some 243 heads and I'm looking to get my parts pile together for the swap. I'm looking for recommendations on what il need. The more budget friendly the better without sacrificing quality. Car currently puts down about 370rwhp, so w/ heads maybe 400rwhp build.
1. Head bolts? Get stock replacement? Arp bolts? Arp studs?
2. Head Gasket? Any head gaskets better than others?
3. Header gaskets? Any header gaskets better than others?
4. What lifter trays?
5. Lifters, ls7 fine?
Any other suggestions will be appreciated, thx

For a budget there's nothing wrong with GM parts...gaskets, bolts, trays and lifters.
Obviously there's better stuff for a bit more but for a basic build those will be fine. If you have a bigger budget some ARP bolts, 5315 Morels and Cometics will be an upgrade. You don't need studs or expensive lifters for your build, but again would be nice upgrades if you got the money.
