Default Remote filter help

how do I know which is my inlet and outlet on the block I'm assuming the front port on the block is the outlet that connects to the inlet of the filter and the outlet on the filter goes to the rear port on the block? Please help!!!???

Doesn't' really matter if you think about it. Imagine you're simply extending the filter, so plumb the nipple side of the block adapter to the nipple side of the spin-on adapter, then install the other line on the other ports and it'll be right...

I don't have a block adaptor it's a custom oil pan that does not take a stock filter block I am sure it has to matter where they hook up I would think

This is correct. You must remeber to install the oil galley barbell. It ensures the unfiltered oil does not bypass the filter.

OK, you didn't state that up front and yes, it certainly does "matter". Since you didn't say, I ASSumed you were using a stock pan and had one there to look at. As Bill said, oil from the forward-most port comes from the pump, goes into the filter, and returns to the rear port.
