Looking for ls3 recommendations I'm looking to build a ls3 from the ground up. Looking for proven ideas to get 550-600 horse power. I can't stroke it because of oil pan clearance. / chassis issues. The car is for the street. 2600 lbs. real sleeper. T56. Blowers are out due to stock hood use. Any ideas?
OK....so what kind of recommendations are you looking for?
Heads? Cams? Intakes?
If you're looking to go with a basic LS3, there's no better start you can go with than a GMPP Crate motor because it'll have pretty much EVERYTHING you need short of the accessory drive and the PCM.

Well you should be able to get that flywheel HP or very close to it with proper Cam and Heads with good set of Long tubes, add in some CNC heads and killer tune or ECU and your on your way... have fun...

I've thought about this a few times. Seems like modifying the motor mounts to give 1/4" extra clearance wouldn't be too difficult.
Although, if you're talking about 600 crank hp, you won't need bother with the bottom end.
