Default Ls1 small amount of smoke underhood

Looking for a tip of advice upon starting the camaro after it starts getting up to running temp has some intermittent smoke coming from the hoood but eventually disspitates any ideas? Also when I rev feels like there is some drag on the pulleys I'm thinking the water pump is shot also hearing an almost mettallic kinda sound too which I think is coming from the water pump I haven't noticed any noticeable dripping of coolant

It would still apply to this forum since it's basically a generic possibly external engine problem. Your reply certainly didn't help him.

If it does it on cold start up or after it's been sitting for a few hours it could be oil seeping onto the exhaust manifold and burning off when first started.

The metallic noise could be coming from the AC compressor clutch, Sometimes the clutch lining doesn't pull far enough away and it makes a slight metal to metal sound. If you turn the AC on and the compressor engages and the sound goes away then you have found your noise source. You might have to actually look and see if the compressor has engaged to confirm it's actually turning.

You can always remove the belt and turn all pulleys by hand to see if any of them turn hard.
