Default LS3 Map Sensor Help...

Hey Guys, I picked up a 2014 L96 engine for a swap and it has an LS3 intake, on it (fuel rails and injectors too). It didn't have a map sensor, so I'm trying to figure out which one I need. The engine will be NA, and I haven't purchased a wiring harness for it yet, so I'm not concerned yet with the connector.

Anyone have a part number for what I need? I see 1 bar, 2 bar, and 3 bar, but am unsure what that refers to and what is needed.

Thanks
-Nick

I am not an expert, but I think the 1 Bar represents 1 atmospheric pressure 14.7:1
2 Bar represents 2 atmospheric pressure 29.4:1
and 3 the same
Cannot explain because I do not know, and I could be completely wrong, but thats a start to do some research on
But I think I know if you are not forced induction you only need 1 Bar.
If I am wrong someone will correct.

I can't speak to your specific application, but I can tell you that in my Trans Am, I had an LS3 map on the intake in my LY6 swap and the car ran like crap as it wasn't tuned for it. I then swapped out my old LS1 map and used a o ring to seal the hole and the car ran 10x better and didn't have issues idling. I know a lot of this has to do with tuning for the other map, but if you are using an LS1 harness/ecu, the LS1 MAP should do what you need, especially if you are staying N/A.

The ecm is an E38, and I haven't purchased a wiring harness yet. I'll obviously have a tune done once I get it going. Can I just put in any 1 bar sensor that will fit?

Anyone have a part number?

If it is a LS3 intake manifold get one that fits the intake manifold, find out what car came with LS3 engine and get that one.
If you are going N/A don't worry about Bar
I'm not trying to be a dick here, but if you are going to tackle a swap you need to learn how to research for yourself, you might learn something.

Thanks for the input. My confusion came from seeing all types of different sensors, and not knowing which I needed, as my intake didn't have one. Then I see a bosch vs delphi, which looks to have a different pinout.

I have already tackled a swap (truck intake that already had a map sensor in it), which you would see if you would do a little research. The condescending part of your reply wasn't necessary.

The pin outs are different on on an LS3 senor to the LS1 sensor. Also if its not tuned/scaled for the LS3 sensor it will run poorly. I had mine changed in the tune before starting the car.
