Default LS2 timing cover questions?

Will all covers from LQ9 work on a LS2? Im working on putting an LS2 into a LT1 Camaro and the customer brought me a LS2 longblock with no covers. Looks like the rear cover is the same as LS1, oil pan and valve covers I have will work. Just making sure the valley cover and timing cover isn't different. This is the first LS2 I work on. Thanks

Rear covers are all the same AFAIK.

Front cover needs to be appropriate for the front cam trigger wheel if fitted or not. If using the valley/rear cam trigger, any front cover should be fine.

^^There is no provision for a rear cam sensor on an LS2 block. You HAVE to use a Gen IV timing cover with the correct 1x or 4x cam gear.

Quite true.

Complete front cover kits including bolts/sensor etc are very cheap anyway. LPE, Summit etc seem to sell them
