Default MSD v/s Holley Hi Ram intake

Hey guys,
I am in the final stages of building a gen iv 427 for my 67 camaro. Here is the build:
5.3 Texas Speed Darton Sleeved Block
Texas Speed ls7 pistons - 11.5:1 cr
Callies Crank/Rods
Melling Oil Pump
Tony Mamo Cam/Springs
LS7 Lingenfelter CNC Heads
Nick Williams 102

I currently have a Holley Hi Ram for the car and I'm starting to get worried about hood clearance with the Holley Hi Ram. I have a 2" cowl inducted hood and it has cleared on some and not on others. This got me looking into the MSD intakes which quite a few people have had good results on but I can't find any comparison between the MSD and Holley. I've found Holley v/s Fast and MSD v/s Fast. But none for Holley v/s MSD. If anybody has any information on this, I would be more than grateful as I may have to go MSD if I do not get the clearance I'm looking for.

Thanks!

Hot Rod has done some intake testing on LS1 head and may have done other heads also. In general you will gain a little power under the curve with longer runners even if they are bent. The high ram is probably one of the longest straight runners that aren't a cross ram and they are straight so you will loose less while gaining in the upper rpms. The other factor is heat soak, the plastic intakes will heat soak much less and you can put some heat shielding under (some company makes pre-cut shields) to make it even better. The aluminum will certainly heat up under the hood, even with great airflow out of a large cowl hood. The Hi Ram certainly looks cooler.
