Default Ls3 fbody harness mixup

I have a 418 ls3 fbody I bought the car this way it running a e67 pcm and runs good. I find it strange the that the original ecus are still in the car I'm having trouble figuring out why the harness going to them is alittle botched but on my lingenfelter box try 002 58x at 24x the cam out and crank out are tapped to the original pcm and cam in crank in are tapped into the e67 harness I'm really confused about this and I just can't understand how if the cars running on the e67 why the original are needed and tapped into. I know this is hard to get advice about not being seen but if anyone has any ideas it will be appreciated

The person that did it probably figured out a way to make the gauges work.

That's what it's starting to look like. Does anyone else have a e67 pcm if so how are your gauges hooked up
