Is it possible to install the LS7 in my 2002 Escalade?
My 2002 Caddyshack is running fine, but needs big power. Can I just buy a crate LS3 or LS7, and plug in the new engine? Thoughts?

Yes. You will either need to convert crank to 24x or get the lingenfekter box

Cool. I forgot about the 24x reluctor stuff. Good point. Thanks for the help.
Here is my new idea. My crank is fine, so I can use it, get some forged H-beam rods along with forged flat-top pistons, and throw this all in a new LSX block. Does 4.185 bore work out well on a new LSX block?
Just want to hit the nitrous at the SacRaceway once a month, and have the old Escalade run faster....

I think (???) the GMPP LSX 454 is a 4.185" bore. Since GM makes that themselves, I would think it can do a 4.185 bore.
