Default Harmonic balancer for stroker

What style/brand harmonic balancer are you all running for your stroker applications? Also, what accessory drive systems are you guys running with them? Pics and details work best for referencing, please. Thanks in advance.

ATI. The biggest names in motorsports trust ATI. Holley accessories also for me. I went with F-body spacing...
I cannot get pics to upload today...

What specific balancer part number are you using? I'm assuming that you are running a stroker combination. So, were there any balancing issues or difficulties?

I’m using #917276, (for F-body spacing) although I didn’t use the separate a/c pulley with it. The Holley accessories mount their own a/c compressor up high that runs on same belt as other accessories. It’s a 10% underdriven aluminum shell unit. 4” stroke forged crankshaft here, and my stuff is internally balanced, so the ATI balancer didn’t affect the balance of the assembly. This is a zero balanced unit.

I second the suggestion for an ATI. The fact that it's a stroker isn't much of a consideration, but the operating RPM is. If it's going to see high RPM use often, you may want to look at using their 66 durometer rubber instead of the 40. Additionally, the larger the diameter of the damper, the more effective it is. I'm currently using the 917302 on the 6.0 in my Camaro and a 917264 on the 5.7 in my GTO.

Have a 4" stroke 383. Put the full size ATI (917264) unit on. Spin to 7k all the time.

Yeah...it will probably see 7000 RPM. What size dampener are you running?

Ended up purchasing an ATI #917302. I figure this would be the best for my application. Thanks for your input fellas.

Both of those part numbers are a 7.53" diameter, both are an aluminum shell with a steel hub, and they both have the same belt spacing (Fbody/GTO). The only difference between them is that the 917302 is without an A/C pulley and the 917264 is with A/C.

ATI 10% under drive, had it on my heads & cam package and it graduated to the 416 stroker.

Thanks for the clarification. Is the AC pulley a bolt-on piece or is it "built it" the dampener?

It bolts on to the rear of the damper.
