Smile MSD or Fast Intake?

Who's got the better intake for street use MSD, or Fast?

Fast seems like a better setup for the LS3.

Thanks!

Msd doesn’t make an intake for the ls3

For cathedral, MSD has shorter runners which should be better for higher rpm use. Probably loses some low end to the Fast.

From what I can tell MSD is slightly better up top but loses too much in the low to mid range. For most cathedral setups the FAST is significantly better, unless a motor was built to take advantage of the MSD.

There is a thread that summarizes testing of many of the intakes.

The MSD greatly benefits from porting. The two MSD's I've seen apart were pretty nasty looking unported. Under 6,500 rpm the Fast will likely be better overall. Since the MSD favors high rpm, I'd either get it ported and build for high rpm ie optimized high rpm or skip it. The Fast is probably better choice 95 percent of the time for the typical street/strip ~6,800 rpm build.
