Hello everyone I am new to the board. I have lots of questions. on the weekend My son and I reinstalled the L76 back into his 2009 G8 GT. It has the displacement on demand option and the cam went on it so we had to rebuild the engine to repair it. Second cam bearing in from the front was toasted by the groove they put in the cam journal for VVT. Anyway that went well put it all back together and it started right up you gotta love these LS engines no distributor to mess up installing no timing to set it just started up and no codes. We do have one problem did not take any pictures so we have this small canister thingy that pushes into one of the bolt holes in the back of the drivers side head. it has what looks like one port for a vacuum line on it but we cannot figure out where it goes. (L76 engine) This is what it looks like. If someone could tell us what it is or even just where it gets connected that would be fantastic.
