Installing OEM Harmonic Balancer on LS3 and timing marks
Installing OEM Harmonic Balancer on LS3 and timing marks Just installed the harmonic balancer on my LS3 and realized I didn't bother setting the motor to TDC and lining up the timing marks on the oem balancer. Is this a huge issue or can I just use a file to etch my own marks? I've searched around and can't find much info on the stock install...I really don't want to pull the damn thing out after I spent so much effort tightening it down to 235 ft lbs. I don't know if this matters or helps, but it's in an RX7 that had a running LS1, so I'm using the LS1 ecu and stuff with all the LS3 adapters. The LS3 is actually an L92 that was fully rebuilt using LS3 pistons and such. Was converted to a 24x reluctor wheel and the cam sprocket was converted too..
