Default Replacing my LS7 in the 06 Z

Hi all I have not been involved with the site for a long time but thought about asking if anyone can help me with suggestions. I have an 2006 Eforce vette Z06

I decided to try and R&R my 2006 Z06 engine on my own since I had some mechanical experience (20 years ago so I'm rusty) and each supposed "major shop" on corvette forum I brought the car to over the past 5 years has made a mess or messed up either their whole job or parts of the job to the point where the car is in the shop at least 3 to 4 months of the year every year.

After a lifter roller began to lose pieces of metal (WTF?) and damage the cam lobe, then I also see some mild scoring on the cylinder wall (only that one, directly by the messed up roller) as perhaps some metal got onto there as well or something broke off and got onto the cam lobe etc.

I decided to just buy a new GMPP crate engine, sent to lingenfelter, they swapped in forged pistons and their daily driver supercharger cam and sent to me. That cost about $3400.00 with shipping. It also looks like they sent me a camaro 427 version and I hope it is the same. The headers are sure allot different.

I pulled out the engine with allot of help and questions. I did so by lowering the "cradle" and unbolting the bellhousing from the engine block. NOT unbolting at the torque tube. Part of this is because I do not understand how the clutch actuator (throw out?) comes off, if I need to pull the shifter etc.

I left the power steering pump in on it's huge bracket, too lazy to take off the pulley or crack open the lines

Can anyone lmk how to put the engine back in? I would like to know, do I bolt the cradle back in or leave it hanging or on the studs with nuts barely on etc.

Can I leave the bellhousing on the torque tube or do I need to remove that and bolt to the engine?

The factory oem service manual is so different that it is not much help.

There are a few tutorials on engine removal but not on putting the engine back in, only removal. I just do not want to find out that I did something unnecessary or learn the harder way.

Thank you for your help. Todd
