Harmonic balancer What determines which harmonic balancer to use on your build? I'm building a 6.0L with the Summit Stage 4 truck cam and probably trickflow or brodix 220 heads. Which balancer should I use? Truck is an 05 silverado single cab short bed

Stock damper will work okay for a street car that spends little time at full throttle, but it's going to struggle to control torsions with increased power. You'll need to watch the condition of the rubbers and replace every so often.
The Fluidamr damper has a wide operating range where it provides torsional damping.
The ATI damper doesn't have the same useful operating range, but they can fine-tune to provide better protection in a defined operating range. Don't order out of the catalog. Call them up and walk through what you have and they'll select a set of rubbers suitable for your engine combo. Under driven pulley will require higher durometer rubbers too. ATI rubbers do need replacement about every 5 years, or sooner depending on your power level. They charge about $75 to service rubbers.

The reason G Atsma asked what he did is, the different accessory drive systems are a different height off of the block. A truck damper won't work with F-body WP etc., or vice-versa. Gotta match the part to the accessory drive as well as intended usage.
