Gas pedal replacement Question
I stuffed an LS7 into my 69 Corvette a while back with some help from you so I am back with another question.
For my swap I used an original "Fly by wire" C6 Z06 Corvette gas pedal. Wonderful it is I might add . . . . .
The pedal is too long and mounted at an angle such that it hangs under the brake pedal a bit. So much that I literally drive like Sammy Hagar! ( One foot on the brake and one on the gas! )
I am OK with that. however it is not really safe for 1 foot driving. If you hit the brake in a panic you are likely to hit the gas also!!!!! YIKES!
Has anyone swapped just the pedal and not the entire assembly with a different or shorter/shaped pedal?
There are times when having someone else move or drive my car would be helpful but I just don't trust that an accident will not happen.
Can I pop the pedal off the assembly and put a more suited one on?
Again,
Thanks for any input!
