Block Plugs
Block Plugs Fresh LSA build using seasoned block. Wanting to pull the female hex headed block plugs out and deep clean. Anybody switch to conventional male hex headed plugs? Would look like a bolt with a washer once installed. The female ones always seems to strip (ha ha, that was almost funny). Looks like nobody sells a kit to do so, but can buy them from a hydraulic store in such orientation.

If you find the need to take those plugs out over and over again, it might make sense, but I've always found if you have the correct sized tool things usually come apart pretty well.
I used the right sized hex sockets and a large breaker bar to break them loose, then replace them with new, cheap enough not to have to mess with them.

This ended up being a non-issue. Well, it was really an issue of cordless impact strength. As their batteries weaken, it still sounds and feels the same. I hate that part of them.
Hit it with my pneumatic IR2131 impact gun, and they all spun right out, zero issue. Even being steel plugs in an aluminum block for a long time.
