Have an oil leak/smoke...

It appears I have a oil leak coming from the pan.... I also have smoke that looks like it's coming from under the car when it idles and parks.... Any ideas?

I would venture to guess valve cover gasket.. if it’s leaking from there, the oil typically runs on the valve cover gasket surface on the head towards the rear of the engine where it then drips off. Onto the exhaust causing the smoke at idle/park. It probably smokes while you drive but you don’t notice it due to the airflow.

183k on a ls1, probably due for some new gaskets.. don’t cheap out either.. go with felpro or AC delco gaskets..

there are a lot of Chinese knock off companies that make gasket sets and the gaskets are too big so when you install them into the valve cover gasket channel they don’t sit correctly, causing a bulge or pinch when you install the valve cover. This will cause a leak. Again.
